TIA-568 Certified.
Every Port.
Documented.
AIT designs, installs, and certifies enterprise copper cabling systems — Cat6A, Cat6, and Cat5e — for offices, data centers, and industrial facilities across the Chicago metro area. Every run tested, labelled, and documented with as-built drawings at closeout.
Watch a complete structured cabling installation.
From cable pull to Fluke DSX 8000 certification — see how AIT runs, terminates, tests, and documents a full Cat6A horizontal cabling system. Every port. Every time.
From survey to certification.
A disciplined five-step process that takes your project from discovery call to a fully tested, documented, and certified cabling plant.
Discovery Call
Free 30-min consultation. We discuss your space, headcount, growth plans, current pain points, and any existing cabling to evaluate.
Site Survey
Certified technician visits your location. We measure all cable paths, identify conduit routes, count outlet locations, and photograph pathways.
Design & Fixed Proposal
Written scope with cable schedule, panel layout, rack elevation diagram, material specs, and locked pricing — no surprises.
Professional Installation
Crew pulls, terminates, labels, and dresses all runs per TIA/EIA-568. J-hooks, cable trays, and patch panel dressing included.
Fluke Certification
Every port tested channel and permanent link with Fluke DSX 8000-8000. Full pass/fail reports delivered digitally at project closeout.
Hardware Ecosystem
AIT uses the same tools, cable, and hardware that enterprise cabling contractors specify — factory-backed with full channel warranties.
Fluke DSX 8000-8000 Certifier
Industry gold standard for copper certification. Tests Cat6A to 500MHz. Delivers channel and permanent link pass/fail results with full trace reports — per port.
Patch Panels
Numbered ports, color-coded by zone. Keystone snap-in or pre-terminated options. Cat6A rated. Loaded and labelled before installation.
Keystone Jacks & Faceplates
T568B wired keystone jacks, single and dual-port faceplates, and surface-mount boxes. Snap-in design for field termination. Rated for full Cat6A performance.
J-Hooks & Cable Management
Steel J-hooks, cable trays, velcro bundling, and ladder rack for organized, code-compliant runs. Proper support intervals and bend-radius compliance throughout.
Equipment Racks & Enclosures
2-post open racks, 4-post closed cabinets, and wall-mount enclosures. Cable management arms, blanking panels, and airflow planning included.
Patch Cords
Factory-terminated, tested patch cords in color-coded lengths. 28AWG slim for high-density panels, 24AWG standard. Pre-labelled for your cable schedule.
Built to last 25 years.
Every AIT cabling installation meets or exceeds current TIA, BICSI, and manufacturer standards — backed by test documentation and installation warranties.
TIA/EIA-568 Compliance
All horizontal and backbone cabling installed per TIA/EIA-568-C.2 — including minimum bend radii, pull tension limits, and consolidation point rules.
Fluke DSX 8000 Certification
Every port tested channel and permanent link. 500MHz test frequency for Cat6A. Full pass/fail summary with individual port traces — PDF delivered at closeout.
TIA-606-B Port Labeling
Every outlet, patch panel port, and cable labelled to TIA-606-B standards. Port schedules and room layout maps included in your closeout documentation package.
As-Built Floor Plans
AutoCAD or PDF as-built drawings showing outlet locations, IDF/MDF room layout, cable routes, and wall penetrations. Every project, no exceptions.
Rack Elevation Diagrams
Completed rack elevation drawings showing hardware placement, cable management, patch panel assignments, and power distribution — included in your project documentation.
ANSI/BICSI-002 Data Centers
For server room and data center work, AIT installs per ANSI/BICSI-002 — covering pathway separation, grounding bonding, and hot/cold aisle considerations.
Every installation certified to last.
We don’t just pull cable — we test, document, and certify every run so you have proof your infrastructure performs to specification, today and for years to come.
Manufacturer Channel Warranty
AIT is an authorized installer for major structured cabling manufacturers. Our certified installs qualify for 25-year system warranties covering parts and performance — registered after project close.
100% Pass Rate Guarantee
We don’t leave until every port passes Fluke DSX 8000 certification. Any port that fails is re-terminated on-site, at no extra charge, before our crew packs out.
Occupied Space Experience
We work in live offices, hospitals, and 24/7 facilities. Noise-managed installation windows, cable trays dressed neatly, and no debris left behind — your operation never stops.
Post-Installation Support
AIT provides port-by-port test reports, labelled schedule, and as-built drawings. We’re also available for adds, moves, and changes after the initial installation.
Right-sized for every project.
From a single floor drop to a multi-building campus — AIT scopes, installs, and certifies cabling systems of any size.

Retrofit / Recertify
Everything you need to know.
For most commercial office projects, Cat6A is the right choice — it future-proofs your infrastructure for 10GBase-T and eliminates alien crosstalk issues. For budget-conscious small offices with no 10G near-term plans, Cat6 is acceptable. We’ll recommend the appropriate category during your site survey.
A small office (24–48 ports) typically takes 1–2 days. A mid-size office (96–288 ports) takes 3–7 days. Enterprise buildouts are scoped individually. All timelines and milestone dates are locked in your written proposal before any work begins.
Yes — we do this regularly. We schedule noisy work (core drilling, hammer-driving J-hooks) during off-hours. Cable pulling and termination are quiet and can happen during business hours. We coordinate with your facilities team and keep all work areas clean throughout the project.
Every project includes: Fluke DSX 8000 test reports per port, port-by-port cable schedule, rack elevation diagram, as-built floor plan, and equipment manuals. All documentation is delivered digitally in PDF format at project closeout.
AIT provides a workmanship warranty on all installations. For projects using certified channel components, we register the 25-year manufacturer system warranty on your behalf — covering both materials and performance.
Yes. We can extend existing runs, add new outlets, and recertify your existing plant. We’ll audit your current infrastructure and identify what can be reused vs. replaced — all in a free site assessment.
